Light Painting
Light Painting is something I had seen on the internet and wanted to try but was not sure where to begin. I was taking a class in college that taught me how to do it! I was relieved to discover its fairly simple.
Step One: Find some interesting objects to photograph
Step Two: Find a dark room or wait till it’s dark outside.
Step Three: You need a flashlight or other light source
Step Four: Set your shutter speed on your camera very low, you will probably need to play a little bit to get your settings just right.
Once your objects or subject is all set up, place your camera on a tripod and click the shutter button. Now as quickly as possible use the flashlight to highlight or “paint” light on your objects.
Light Painting:
A photography technique that requires a dark space, a flashlight or light source, and a VERY slow shutter speed.
