Peachy Cosmetics

My goal for this project was to create and imaginary makeup brand complete with mockups in only 3 weeks. To say this project was a struggle for me would be an understatement. I spent my 1st week sketching, feeling like I was going nowhere and couldn’t get the right idea.

In a last-ditch effort to save my project, I  buckled down with some market research and thought about a target audience. With a little more information and direction I found my stride! I decided I wanted to create an entry-level makeup brand for young teenagers. I wanted it to be approachable to a younger audience.

As I thought about my audience and what they might gravitate to, I wanted these products to be easy to know what colors they would be like, I liked the idea of incorporating simple fruit patterns to convey that the products were natural, neutral, and easy for consumers to discern color.

Next I set out to create my mockups I took pictures of makeup products I had, editied and used photoshop to create the mockups that I could add my designs to. The hardest part was changing the colors of the actual products to appear as the color it was designed to be, especially with the eyeshadow  pallets.
